BMSCE UTSAV Day-3

Day-3
BMSCE;
Bangalore.

Under continuous threats of security from some miscreants inside college the final day of Utsav became more challenging for us in general and Adhip, Babe and group in particular, if tech team and fine-arts grabbed all the special attention the previous day, security was at its brilliance thought audacious, dauntless entire team hand picked by Mr. Putturaj had real guts to stand through the day and fight it out, special mention about people like Melvin, Kushal, Pande, Rishi, Shenoy, Dani had some real task up-their asses to take care of.
Team Logistics was at its brilliance trying to get all the venues conquered, at the time when college was dressing up to conduct IIT-JEE in campus the next day, Log people with Bucki and Soda had a tough challenge to get alternative venue for the great prelims block (read: classroom block), a few flaws from my side were brilliantly managed by Shuntu and Ishesh. And my entire logistics team which is I guess the best team since it beginning in Utsav-06. Tejanna, Bhargav, Ashish, Kundan, Raghavendra, Sai Giri, Vikram, Anush and Swaroop surely had tough time to be under two frustrated and angry leaders (Me and Shuntu), and logistics had support from people like Javid, Guru and Vishwas who were ever ready to run around for everything possible.
After the second place at Online-Collage my greed grew and I wanted to try my hands over a few more things which lead me to another rocking team the tech team which was handling the Tech Race the only second event I participated in Utsav and later winning second place (Thanks to Murtaza). The event was elegantly managed by again Koutuk`s team to name a few I remember working with Zizou`s grace were Ann (hope I spelt it right), Moiz and Smitha (who threatened to disqualify me for trying to make a winning deal with her) and all those at various very obvious pit-stops.
SAHAS were at their usual entertaining spree with Zorbing just blowing up the fun and it just kept rolling with Task-Race, Rappeling, River-Crossing and Ganpat and Team showing the real adventure freaks what BMS is all about.
It did look dull for a moment when at 3:30pm all the events at Utsav were almost over, but Mad-Ads and Fashion were the real crowd pullers. When the day was over I proved myself by showing that even 50kg of mass can bear with security and did all I could to help `em out until it got boring.
Crowd wise again this Utsav surely broke last years record, I wonder what pulls so many people to the campus is it the Fashion Show or Utsav or just the fact that Bulls are Back.

This Utsav was of a special Reminisce thanks to that slumdog night-out at Avenue Road at 3am. Check out pics.

Abrupt ending; follow up soon, topic surely the post utsav night-out.

BMSCE UTSAV Day-2

Reporting from the day-2,
10-4-2009;

I always used to wonder how much one person has capability to contribute for a fest to make it huge, are we all working our asses off for this event irreplaceable are we special and always i got an answer from within saying that UTSAV is huge larger than anything which has ever happened in our lives, and may be if one person doesn`t have the capacity to make it huge all on his own, but one person has immence capability to screw-up such huge event.
The number of screw-ups this time have been demoralising enough to make this one of the worst UTSAV`s of my life where the only bright moment was winning second place at an on-line collage event, which was my first-ever participation in UTSAV having worked for five UTSAV`s.
Coming to positive side now, this UTSAV was surely the most challenging one, recession and even big companies acting like some cheap ass stingy bastards arguing trying to squeeze out all they can from small numbers on cheques. And one person who made UTSAV look huge will have to give it up for Nawaz bhai, the master-mind behind the bmsceutsav.org and his partner the Balatkaari (read:Harsh)
A very organised and hard-working sponsorship team was an other feature this UTSAV, with people like Rudi always ready to cheer you up and encourage you.
Design Team didn`t stand up to its the reason of its formation by its founder but yet thanks to Jatin and Pradeep Alva things were done when they were needed the most.
Whiplash was again brilliantly managed by its Father Arpan Chipping in and doing his proffesional bit of work to the utmost perfection.
Never to forget the ever composed Bucki for his awesome handling and management of all the things who with Soda made sure everything from the campaining to the stage arrangements was perfectly managed and clearing up all the screw-ups.
Data-base was beautifully managed again by Nawaz with Bhargav and Deepak who is ready to take all responsibility on his head.
Abhi and Ankita providing the human resources with utmost care and kulli providing the ultimate care for her volunteers.
Tech Team was brilliantly handled managed and very well lead by Koutuk.
Logistics was a screw-up i managed to screw-up all i could that came in my hands. Shuntu taking up the role of angry young man which i guess is a characteristic feature of that post he handled.
Finally we had a marwadi treasurer this time in Nari people who have to get your bills cleared i bet your having the most difficult days of your life.
Last but not the least the ever awesome the fine-arts team always doing their bit of beautification in the most beautifiul way, hats-off to Niki, Sarthy, Utsav(Pinku), Pooja, Nirmal, Vikas, Abhi, Vikram and all those group of the most decent and innocent people in campus, who got thier hands and feet dirty got pants torn and did even give a MMS.
Okay this is all i had patience for today.
Last day action awaited.

BMSCE UTSAV `09

Urdu saying "Ek ullu kaafi tha barbaad-e-gulistaan ke liye, yahaan har shaaq pe ullu baithe hai, anjaam-e-gulistaan kya hoga", which roughly means tat a single owl can spoil a garden what if you have an owl on every branch of the the tree.
But i wonder how these ullus just pull it off when it comes to this huge mega-event which the world recognises as UTSAV. Reporting from the day one of the the biggest fest in bangalore, which a few weeks ago was doubtful thanks to recession, but just an amazing team spirit, spirit of oneness and the untiring will of making it happen just keep these ullus flying high.
An amazing achievent of this team to pull of this day of UTSAV, after pulling off it from some incapable hands, i hope i get this time tomo to post day two of UTSAV or a follow-up to this.
But mean while, the BULLS ARE BACK!
